Figured it's time to put this here as it seems I'm becoming more and more involved on SpoolStreet. Going to take me a couple days to copy and paste from 1addicts so bear with me. For the 1ers among us, I will always be active with 1addicts, so if you cant reach me here for something, try there.

This is the photo-diary history of my 135i from stock to current. Unfortunately some parts that are on the car, or have been part of the cars history have either been lost or were neglected and haven't been photographed.

The first picture will be semi-regularly updated as the build changes to reflect the current state of the car! I'm not much for words here, and I'll let the pictures do the talking.

Spring bolt delete:
Yellow zinc hex bolts with appropriate stop length to match the springs. Separate nuts. Not ever having to worry about those soft threads or nuts on the midpipe ever again is a huge plus.

OE BMW LCI Black Line Tail Lights
An Absolute must on modified BMWs, the Black Line/Darkline styling sets off every paint color I have seen.

CX Racing "Big Tom" FMIC
3" CX Racing core, custom silicone cold and hotside piping, T-bolt clamps. No leaks is essential.

Evolution Racewerks CP and TiAL Q 50mm BOV
Two (real) options for BOV on our platform, TialQ or Turbosmart. I prefer the Q as it is quieter and a little more OEM+

Differential Lock Down Brace
Welded steel. Several years on the road with DD use, no issues! Thanks 135droptop!

TC Kline S/A Coilovers: - 350f/600r
First iteration of coilovers. These are really good bang for the buck, especially up front.

amU0uuO.jpg

HcRa1U5.jpg

BMS Short Shift Kit: - ~30% reduction in shifter throw, ~1cm height reduction
~30% reduction in shifter throw, ~1cm height reduction. Best part is my ZHP knob fit perfectly.

aJN5ttX.jpg

Swift Springs and Thrust Sheets: - 392/7k front spring rate

NfRReDJ.jpg

Swift Springs and Thrust Sheets: - 672/12k rear spring rate

4SFvy5P.jpg

Fe1rx Rear Lower Spring Isolator:
Pad for the lower race spring in the rear. Most coilover kits do not include this, and Fe1rx had a spare set, machined to fit the contour of the arm.

Tt1X7bm.jpg
HleP9I4.jpg

xfOKz1d.jpg

Precision Raceworks Stage 2+ Modular LPFP:
Single Walbro 450, ethanol rated fuel pump. No issues 30k+ miles DD.

MJWFtYC.jpg

Racingbrake 2pc Floating Rotors
Weight savings ~4lbs per corner (front and rear) with increase in rotor vanes and width to 28mm.

6TG6ekr.jpg

BMW Performance 6MT Pedals
Another must have for 6MT BMWs. No more slippery pedals when wet.

39NtYZs.jpg

YCW Front and Rear coilovers - 6k front 18k rear
Next step in trying to perfect the suspension after deleting nRFT. Better valving and compression than the TCKs, but rougher on the street.

XQW6hMH.jpg

lO0nGKm.jpg

Fe1rx ///M Rear Toe Arms
Perfect addition to the YCWs. I disliked having to regularly clean the rust off my spherical toe arms.

HPxEf5q.jpg

APEX EC-7 Rear Wheels - 18x9.5 et 58 (275/35 MP4S)
The hunt for better grip. MPSS were vastly inferior. Plus, these are bigger in every dimension. RB Rear rotors seen here as well!

ySZg3wW.jpg

Bimmerworld Carbon Fiber Sunroof Delete Plug
Deleting ~40 lbs from the roof. No brainer.

gU1HMKM.jpg

OE BMW 1M Anthracite Slicktop Headliner
Lets get that added headroom, easier to clean and recover if it wears out. Downside, ridiculously expensive and had to be imported.

Xo3kfgB.jpg

OE BMW 1M Front Conversion - With Lightweight MotoGP Lip
First shot. Did this in my garage on jack stands. Also includes image of the BMS 7.5 RACE FMIC.

uvsInua.jpg

APEX EC7 Front Wheels 18x9.5 et 22 (275/35 MP4S)
The 1M front clip allowed me to square up the wheels and tires. 275/35 MP4S with no rubbing while driving. This is how the front end was meant to be!

UcSB1aE.jpg

BMS 7.5" RACE FMIC & 2.5" J-pipe
Getting serious about IAT control. 90-100 degrees with 99% humidity is tough to combat, but lets see how this does. No idea how people fit a 3" up pipe in there. Dangerously close to my serp.

cDh6Fcd.jpg

yW2rWCX.jpg

Drexler Clutch Type Limited Slip Differential - 40/10 Ramps
Built and imported from Germany by limitedslip.de. Thanks to [email protected] for helping me order this!

Thanks Filippo. The reserves are due to the 30 picture limit per post. Dunno that I'll need them but.. yeah. Lots of photos coming once I get the camera out.

Woaw ... just went through the photo tsunami. Nice looking car! Waiting on the rest (given the reserves), and well, that I have a few guesses :tonguewink:

@ShocknAwe Any update or more details you can share about the M4 spindles and suspension changes needed to make it work?
Need spindles/uprights and pinch bolts, speed sensor bolt, and hub bolts. Then I recommend the Hydra caliper bracket if sticking with E82 calipers, and use E46M3CSL rotors. Or convert to full F8x brakes.

Stock wheel bearing fits with M4 hub bolts.

You will need E9xM3 front dampers and top hat/plates which match our strut towers.

Mine fit fine with nonM steering rod ends.

Think that's it off the top of my head.

I'll post my new alignment spec once I know what it is lol. Assembled with Dinan fixed plates so we'll see what that nets me with the full M suspension.

@ShocknAwe your 3DM Motorsport stuff in yet? Looks like my stuff will be on the car in the next 1-2 weeks, along with the big brakes. Been working on this part since end of last year - I'm chomping at the bit to feel like we've made progress somewhere. @[email protected] has cranked out what looks to be a juicy setup. Can't wait ...

Please post back here on progress on your car.

It is. Haven't really seen my car in 3 months, installed the parts and it swiftly went to the body shop, upholstery shop. And then Indy mech for the Hydra stuff.

Hoping to pick it up today or tomorrow.
